Mosaics with Eileen Butler
Try your hand at making a color-filled mosaic wall panel. In this intro class which is suitable for teens and adults, we will use many materials like glass, mirrors, broken tile and found objects on a firm board for the substrate. You can even bring some of your own special objects.
Eileen will walk you through the decisions to make the design of your choosing. You will learn about good and not great material choices, how to do a fearless dry layout of the tiles, how to safely use tools to easily cut and shape hard materials, good gluing practice, and the final make a mess, but fun grouting to give your piece a dramatic finish.
You will have a unique glass and stone work of art to call your own at the end of our session.
